Because it is actually food. Most wellness shots on the shelf are shelf-stable, which means they have been processed with heat, UV, or preservatives to survive at room temperature. Elixir Shots are cold-pressed from whole roots and fruit, then kept refrigerated from production to delivery to your fridge. Heat degrades the compounds that make a fresh wellness shot worth drinking. Refrigeration protects them. If a wellness shot does not need to be kept cold, ask why.

Track your package: Elixir Shots are perishable. Check your tracking updates and plan to be home when they arrive. Do not let the package sit outside overnight.
When it arrives: Open it the same day. Place the shot packs on your counter for 30 minutes to come up to fridge temperature, then transfer them to your refrigerator. They should feel cold and dense, not slushy.
Before you drink: Shake well every time. The sediment at the bottom is the whole root. That is not a flaw. That is the point.
Recycling is easy: Cut open the ice packs and drain them safely down the sink. Recycle the ice pack sleeves. Collapse the cardboard box flat. Fold the insulated liner. All of it is recyclable curbside. Done.
Yes. Elixir Shots are formulated as a daily ritual. One shot per day is a typical serving. Some people take up to three in a day depending on how they feel. The ingredients are real, whole foods that are safe to consume daily. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking medication, consult your physician before adding any new supplement or functional beverage to your routine.
The sediment is the whole root. We use a wider mesh pressing, which means the natural fibers and compounds of the ingredients stay in the bottle instead of being filtered out. Shake well before opening. Other brands extract everything down to a single isolated compound, then add stabilizers to keep the liquid clear. We do not do that. The sediment is the proof that what is in the bottle is what was on the farm.
Elixir Shots stay fresh for the duration printed on the bottle as long as they remain refrigerated and unopened. Once opened, drink within 24 hours for peak freshness. Because we do not use preservatives, refrigeration is what keeps the shot fresh.
Yes. Elixir Shots are food-grade and safe for children. For kids under 12 we recommend a half-shot. If the taste is too strong, the shot can be diluted in water, juice, or a smoothie. Many parents start their kids on smaller portions and let them work up to a full shot.

Cold pressure, also known as High-Pressure Processing (HPP), is a food safety and preservation method that uses high pressure instead of heat to help keep packaged foods fresh.
During this process, water is pressurized in a sealed chamber and applied evenly through the package to the product inside. Because it does not rely on heat, cold pressure helps maintain the fresh taste, color, and overall quality of cold-pressed juices and functional beverages.
