We use BPA-free rPET recycled plastic bottles so we can keep our shots cold from start to finish.

  • Made for cold-press and HPP: We cold-press our shots, then use High Pressure Processing (HPP), a cold method that helps keep them fresh without heat. HPP is typically done in the final package, so the bottle needs to flex slightly under pressure.
  • Why not glass: Glass is rigid and can crack under the extreme pressure used in HPP, which is why in-package HPP is generally paired with flexible packaging instead of glass.
  • Always cold, never hot: We do not heat pasteurize our shots, and the bottle is not exposed to high heat during processing.
  • Whole ingredients, not powders: We cold-press whole ingredients like fresh Red Hawaiian Turmeric, instead of relying on powdered substitutes.

Because it is actually food. Most wellness shots on the shelf are shelf-stable, which means they have been processed with heat, UV, or preservatives to survive at room temperature. Elixir Shots are cold-pressed from whole roots and fruit, then kept refrigerated from production to delivery to your fridge. Heat degrades the compounds that make a fresh wellness shot worth drinking. Refrigeration protects them. If a wellness shot does not need to be kept cold, ask why.

Packed cold, shipped cold: Every order ships in a biodegradable insulated liner with drain-safe ice packs to keep your shots fresh and cold from our facility to your door.

And, once your shots are on their way:

Track your package: Elixir Shots are perishable. Check your tracking updates and plan to be home when they arrive. Do not let the package sit outside overnight.

When it arrives: Open it the same day. Place the shot packs on your counter for 30 minutes to come up to fridge temperature, then transfer them to your refrigerator. They should feel cold and dense, not slushy.

Before you drink: Shake well every time. The sediment at the bottom is the whole root. That is not a flaw. That is the point.

Recycling is easy: Cut open the ice packs and drain them safely down the sink. Recycle the ice pack sleeves. Collapse the cardboard box flat. Fold the insulated liner. All of it is recyclable curbside. Done.

Yes. Elixir Shots are formulated as a daily ritual. One shot per day is a typical serving. Some people take up to three in a day depending on how they feel. The ingredients are real, whole foods that are safe to consume daily. The sediment is the whole root. We use a wider mesh pressing, which means the natural fibers and compounds of the ingredients stay in the bottle instead of being filtered out. Our shots can be taken up to three times a day depending on how you're currently feeling. We recommend a single shot for daily wellness and up to three when you are looking for a bit more.

We suggest starting with one and seeing how you feel (with or without food) and find out what works for you. As it turns out, I already took two today!

If your child is under 12 we suggest you have them take half the shot. Lots of kids love our shots, but if your child has a hard time with the taste the shots can be diluted in water, smoothies, juice, etc.
