When it arrives: Open it the same day. Place the shot packs on your counter for 30 minutes to come up to fridge temperature, then transfer them to your refrigerator. They should feel cold and dense, not slushy.

UV light only reaches what it can see, so it struggles with a dense shot like ours. Heat solves it but changes the ingredient in the process.
